Here are our Frequently Asked Questions about our hosting. xD
Q: What do I get if I get hosted by you?
A: Read our Info section. :P
Q: What is cloaking/redirection?
A: Cloaking is basically what I call "website masking". Masking is a much better
term to use, in my opinion, because it literally is what it means. Anyhow,
cloaking in our case is using the subdomain we provide for you to "mask"
your real website URL. If you were hosted by Awardspace or Freehostia and you don't
want people to have to type in "site.awardspace.com" or "site.freehostia.com"
since it's way too boring and time-consuming, we can place a frame
on the subdomain we provide for you that contains everything on your website.
That way, when people visit your Aqua-Neo.net subdomain, they see exactly what your site
would look like without our subdomain, except with a catchier URL.
Q: Do I have to already have a site up and running?
A: Yes, you do. Our service isn't real website hosting, like what
Awardspace, Freehostia, or Freewebs offers, but instead it's website
cloaking or redirection, similar to what co.nr offers. We only accept
sites that are running on "full mode", which means they're not under
construction, revamp, etc. at the time of their application.
Q: Why should I get a subdomain from you?
A: A common freedomain is co.nr. However, lately, downtime hasn't been too
good with it. Therefore, having a subdomain means less downtime and a
very unique and catchy URL. :)
Q: What email do I get?
A: You get yourname@yoursite.aqua-neo.net. You can register this by emailing Art that
you want one. However, emails sent to yourname@yoursite.aqua-neo.net will be forwarded
to your specified email, since we don't really want to share our website control panel with
other people. :P
